From the 1871 census it looks like father John was born in 1821. Did it have his birth place in the 1871 census. His father may well have been John Wait born 1801. Perhaps that might be worth a shot. Thanks

Does it say where Sarah came from. I think her parents were Jon and Mary but cant be sure.

Thats brilliant. Are they in any of the other census. Is he still alive in the 1911 census. Being a miner they didn't live very long.
