There have been so many different spellings for Walter or Walpole's christian and surnames that it can be very confusing. Everything else about him tallies so this must be the one I am looking for. Thank you Lindsey |

Yes it would be interesting to know why he was in prison, but I don't know of any records for that yet. Probably to do with money, clerks pay wasnt great and he no doubt had access to cash ? good hunting |
