hi i have hit a wall please help.
looking for jane doyle born in 1886/7 in wales.
jane was born demaskie / jones.
in 1901 jane was in london working.
jane returned to newport m in 1907 and married daniel doyle.
they had 5 children daniel 1911 / mary 1913 / constent 1915 / thomas 1916 / john 1919.
jane died in 1922 in newport m.
jane had 2 older sisters they were eliza ellen born in 1874 in abergarvenny and rosanna born in 1876 also abergarvenny.
jane mother was born jane jones in 1846? she married christopher demaskie in 1873 in abergarvenny he died in 1873.
any help will be most welcome.

Can't see a birth for Jane but these could be her sisters. along with Eliza (1974) posted earlier.
However if the death of Christopher is correct, mother Jane is a widow at this time and Jane who married Doyle says she was born Swansea !

I would invest in one or two certificates .

according 2 genes they married in june of 1873 and he died in sept 1873.
yes abraham is christopher brother .
there is also john.
yes jane in pontypool was jane the mother .
rosannah is one sister but rose georgia is john's girl.
sorry it is unkown where jane was born

yes this is one of mine eliza ellen was with her dads parents dad also called christopher and elizabeth in usk in 1881 mothers where abouts unknown
there is also a john in usk to who is another son christopher and elizabeth.

christopher had died in sept 1873.

i did find a baptism of a Rose Anna Jones b 11/7/76 to Jane Jones of Flannel St Abergavenny single

as Christopher had been dead for 3 years perhaps she was registered under jane's married name but baptised under Jones (clutching at straws a bit)

please could I ask where you got your information that the Jane who married Doyle in 1907 was also known as Jane Jones and who was her father named on the marriage certificate

its wot has come down from family members and it could very well be that jane was known as jane jones has her mother was jane jones before she married christopher.
sorry it unknown at the moment who was down as her father. but will find out.

I think it would be well worth your while to get the marriage certificate for Jane & Daniel. You could be looking at the wrong Damaske family - if you are taking your info from what other people have said it is frequently known to be only hearsay and not proven.
