The problem is if you share your Private tree with someone and they then put that information onto a Public tree, whoever looks at the public tree can help themselves to the information. |

I think you will find whoever you have given permission to view your tree on ancestry can also view your tree on Mundai . |

Go onto Mundia and click onto edit for each name you dont want there. Then you can delete them |

Just to say that I have a private, non searchable in the indexes, tree, which stays private to me.I also have `branches` of trees with limited info on that are public. This will stop anyone gleaning all your info and you can put the bits of the trees on that you are stuck with...You can have as many trees as you want on Ancestry,so maybe that is worth a try.... |

I have just checked out my Trees on Mundia.com and it says : This tree is PRIVATE. Only you or people you invite can view this tree. |

My cousins tree on Ancestry is private and I can't view it, there's no need as I have access on Genes, but if I go to this site, there it is in plain view! I don't see how they can say it's private on Ancestry when they put it on here. |

I have read this thread with interest, mainly because I can not afford Ancestry at the moment, logged into the site mentioned and did a search, came up trumps with a connection. Now in contact with a family member, via e.mail. |
