Ooops, I forgot. There is a St Nicholas Olave in Middlesex, registration district is London.

What year is the first record you have of him?

Well one of the problems is that St Olave isn't in Middlesex. During the 1800s there's a St Olave in Surrey under the registration district of Southwark. Also one in Exeter, Devon, and one in Yorkshire.

Now the interesting thing is when looking up censuses for Forward in St Olave, Surrey is that a lot of them came from Devon.

Can't help you any further than that as there is no Robert. Looks like there may have been a name change here, especially as you can't find him coming in to Canada.

The only info we have is from his obit Born 1836 in Middlesex St Olave Came to Quebec Canada Do not know when.We know he worked in the military Prison in Montreal We have not been able to find him through records or census records Can anyone help. He is my Great Grandfather Thanks Evelyn [email protected]
