Please could some one help. I am trying to find out some information about the Slack family in the Quarndon area. I know that Albert Slack (b 1891) married to Beatrice Dean (b 1893). But I haven't gone any further back than that. Albert and Beatrice then moved to Keighley, Yorkshire.
I know that Albert and Beatrice had children but I don't know the names. I found out through other research that a living Keylard is a descendant of Albert and Beatrice. I would love to get in contact with them.

Many thanks,
Fiona

The mothers maiden name was added to the birth indexes at the end of 1911.

When did they marry?

Thank you. Im not sure when they gor married.
I had a look on the BMD index and I think I found the birth record for Beatrice. It came up with Beatrice May Dean born 1893 in Christchurch, which is where the Dean family were from.
But cannot find a birth record for Albert Slack.

Many thanks

I am not sure when the children were born. I think they only had one child. I'm afraid I don't know much information.

Thank you for the census information, they seem to match the birth date of Albert.

Many thanks

Will pm possible children's births

Chrissie2394 Report 22 Sep 2010 20:17

I have just checked the original image on the 1911 census. Charles and Emma had had 8 children all still living so there is another child somewhere.

Going by Alberts age in the census, the birth reg in Sept q 1891 works out right not 1892 as in the census.

Patricia that could be the right death record as I had about 1972 in Keighley, Yorkshire. Thanks for all your help.

Many thanks

Yes I have that Beatrice died in 1977 so this information should be correct. She must have used the name Nellie, which must have been her middle name. Its just a bit odd how Dean is spelt Deon! Is this just a spelling mistake then?

Many thanks
