I am unable to find my great grandmother, Christina May, born Liverpool c 1888. She married a John Shaw, but later was a partner ofa Mr Ellard. She had three children: Albert, Margaret and John.

I'm not getting the uncle/nephew thing - there would have been two brothers called Bernard? Catherine couldn't be the other Bernard's sister because May is her married name.

How did you find them both?

I do think the Burnet should be Bernard.
