Sylvia,

Augusta was definitly born in 1864.. have birth cert..

hers and Johns wedding cert say she was 19 and he was 23. (1883)

I have been trying to find more info on him as he was in the Battery Royal Artillery in Horfield Bristol which is stated on his marraige cert but cannot find any info with regards to this army placement..

Was there an age limit to join the army??? perhaps he was on ly 17..

Who were the witnesses on the marriage cert...? if they were siblings of john then might be able to find them in an earlier census with him...

Can you please put up all details from the cert?
