I've been trying to help Ashley with some of the background on her family, and have come across 2 census returns in 1881 for what appears to be the same person. There was only 1 birth registered Epson, Surrey for John Croxford (2nd on freebmd is a mis-transcription) in 1844, but here he is with 2 families. Can any of you kind people check London area marriages for him please, or the christenings of the 2 oldest children (I've put their registration details against their names)?

Hi Guys,

It's quiet on the boards today, so if any of you are at a loose end could you check the last post on this board for me please?

Ashley is in Auz and has limited internet access so I've been trying to help her, but come up against a stumbling block on her great grand-mother's mother.

I think I've identified the first wife as Mary Phripp (Fripp on census) born 1846, reg Shaftsbury Dorset, married Q3/1868, but can't get anywhere on the second "wife"

Any help would be appreciated.
