Hi,
I have found Owen Sullivan on the 1881 census living in Newcastle up on Tyne.
I would love to find him on other census. Owen was born in Dundee, Scotland b.1862 and by 1881 was living with his parents Bernard b 1827, Ann b 1839 and brother Patrick b. 1867.

Thanks for looking for me.
Yes, that's 1881I found but the 1891only similarities are that the father was born in Ireland and was a Tailor, d.o.b only 3 years out. Patrick looks a possibility same d.o.b and occupation.
Just Googled the address and it's not far from the 1881 address, not that that means anything.

NO other Sullivans with right names found.

You have me wondering if the 1881 fathers name Bernard is mis-transcribed. Once again this 1901 address is in the same area. Pity he was widowed by 1891.
I have also had a look at Kelly directory to see if they had business premises but doesn't look like it.

It might be worth you looking on Scotland's People to see what you can see ................. you have to buy credits to look at the records, but you might be able to see if any of the names are on there without having to pay to look at details.


I can't find them in 1871 in either Scotland or England!
