Trying to find info about my Grandad from Grantham - George Oliver. Had 6 sons - George, John, Tom, Bernard, Alec, Bert (my Dad) and a daughter Eva.
I have few dates to go on - Grandad - George Oliver was born on 8th June 1890 and died July/Aug/Sept 1983.
My Dad Bertie was born on 9th May 1924 and died on June 6th 1980

George Oliver (b1890) wasn't born in Grantham, I believe he came to live in Grantham with his young family.
My Dad was christened Bertie Oliver (b1924)- no middle name as far as I am aware, but Elizabeth Elliott married to George in 1912 looks good, I found an Elizabeth Elliott last night and wondered if she was my Grandmother. Is there a free site to check for BMD's?

As far as I know I think my Grandad worked on the land - but not sure.
