Hi tempest,
Thank you very much for taking the time to have a look into this for me.
In answer to your question re the 1901, yes, it is the same one that I found.
You have also managed to locate them on the 1911, Southam Street, was very close to where the later family members (the ones I am old enough to have known) settled, so I'm much grateful to you for filling in this blank for me.
I hope this won't sound too cheeky but I was wondering whether there would be any possibility of you emailing me over a copy of the 1911, if I PM you my email?
No problems if not possible, I just like to have a copy for my paper file.
Many thanks for all your help,
Chevaun.

Hi everyone,
Still on my search for the Clements houshold on the 1911.
What I have found out so far is that the head of the household was George Clements, born Rochester Kent, 1870, married to Mary Flemming, born Treadgar Wales, children included Edward, Elizabeth, Thomas, Mary and Kathleen (my greatgrandmother) there are links to Brentford, Hounslow and Kensington and of course Kent.
Any help locating this family on the 1911 would be much appreciated, I am unable to access this Census on my Gold membership. One final thing, I have the family located on the 1901 as being in Kent, Kathleen is not showing on this entry as she would not have been born at the time but I know that at some stage the family moved to Kensington, London, as Kathleen had a child there in 1925.
i'm so stuck on this guys, it would be great if you could give me a couple of leads...
Thanks,
Chevaun.

Good luck. i would definitely check Hazlewood Crescent out to see if the family continues to have a connection there. Let us know how you get on!

Thanks for all your help Jan and advice, I'll give the addresses a go! I've not heard of a James and Margaret but they are living on Hazelwood Crescent at the time so may find out that they are also a relation!
Thanks once again for everything,
Chevaun.

After 1911 you need to search by address unfortunately, so the only clues are births, marriages and deaths. I would advise looking at the electoral register for all the addresses you have if that's possible, from marriage cert and any other source. Bit of a long shot but might offer some clues.

This might be of interest from 1911:

Jan, I'm not sure that Charles was that sort of engine driver, I think it may have been like a construction driver as i have been told that he was involved in the driving of the machinary that was involved in making the roads that lead from London to Kent, again how accurate this may be is uncertain.
As for Kathleens address, i don't have a full one, but she did live in Hazelwood Crescent, W.10 in the 1930's and also in Kensal Road, W10 1940's both in the Kensington area of London... Do you know of anyway of checking where families were living after the 1911?
Hope this all makes sense.
Chevaun.

Very difficult to pin down. problem is, if their father worked on the railways they could have been born anywhere! My husband's ancestors were the same, what a nightmare.
By the way, I meant address for kathleen not Charles in case you read it that way!

Just a thought, could you try a Thomas Clements on the 1911? I know that Kathleen had an older brother who also lived in the kensington area and was a local school caretaker.

No address, some talk within the family of a connection with kent but don't know how reliable that info is. Purchased a birth certificate for a Kathleen Clements in Kent 1903, which was wrong as it gave the father as a Jesse Clements...

Don't know the exact details of Kathleens birth as I am only going on death certificate age which was 89 in 1992... I do know that fathers name was Charles Clements though as I also have Kathleens marraige certificate, so that entry in Fulham is obviously not her.... I've hit a real brick wall but Thanks anyway.

Thanks brummiejan,
would it be possible for you to check the fulham entry and see if the head of household (father) is called Charles? there may also be siblings by the name of Elizabeth and Thomas and others, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Chevaun.
