Mother also Kathleen Clements...
I can't find a birth record for her though only marriage certificate to my great grandfather Frederick William Besant.
What did you mean about the Vicar having a rethink?

Sorry Chevaun had visitors so had to come offline, what I mean it was more usual in my own experiences to see additional info on baptisms that occured in much earlier years.....around 1790's/1870,s.

The vicar would write the name of the child then mother then:

The reputed father is???????????and sometimes even the place the "father" ressided.
