help! i am trying to find my mother and have two people with same name.My ivy cecelia russell married willie thompson she was born 1906 in yorkshire my father was born in goole yorkshire,I was taken into care at 5 with my sister after the death of my mother,lost all contact after that with the russells.I thought my grandparents were Kate Eyre and ernest ambrose russell but now unsure having found an Ivy cecilia born in yorkshire around the same time |

thanks mike,iknow thesr are my parents but not sure the other Ivy is just listed as ivy born in hull 1906 maybe they are the same person.The 1911 census has a ivy russell living in sculcoates hull,think it could be my mother but i don't know the family. |

Mum is reg as Ivy C Thompson aged 40 when she passed in 1947 so makes her birth c 1907 which would tie with the birth posted . |

A lot of the districts that were covered by Doncaster reg district were later transferred to Don Valley which is the reg district for your mums death reg |

Well you can find out her dads name from the marriage cert as we have said.Plus that must be her birth registration which will give her parents names .so you arent back at square one . |

thanks to you all,fanny by gaslight you have cracked it.i heard that my late sister was named after a family member ,and that we are related to the Andrews somehow.I will get the certificates I need. i lived in goldthorpe untill going into care.thanks again |
