On the 1871 census Eliza Murray 22 is down as Dau in Law ??

yes i had that thought too but could not take it any further. Gilberts wife died about ten years ago aged 105 and quite alert but could not tell us too much about the murray family except some awesome stories of their life in Australia. Have pages of her stories. The australian Boys visisted Lanander and Murray relations when they went to WW1 but somehow they lost touch after that. The Lavanders had come from Frome district

Mel you just solved a huge problem
Lydia came to australia on the Sydeham 1883 - saying she was single and a nurse and so we had been searching for their marriage in Australia and not England - as we could not find it we thought they must have never been married
William came as crew on the Luisitania a couple of years later
Gilbert henderson Murray ( William's brother came out a few years later again and they all lived mingbil Uki are New south Wales
