	Hello John..just a follow up to my previous information...... JEANETTA HUDSTON (aged 29) daughter of James and Mary (James was a POSTMAN!!)..married HENRY PLANT(aged 31) 21.04.1902 at Ockbrook....... Henry was a Butler from Weston on Trent and his father was a Butcher..... Nope i'm not related.....just here to help. Derek

	Hi Derek Thank You for this info My wife is Janet Susan Gice she lived at church st Ockbrook her older sister still lives there now,Janeeta Hudston was her grandmother. Janets parents used to run the Post Office in Ockbrook, Are you related to the Hudsun`s by any chance ?? Regards John

	Me again........those who know are pleased that i usually take what may be a simple enquiry as far as i can.and give much more info than was originally requested. i enjoy doing itand it keeps the grey matter swilling around! Im aware thst the Hudston family peior ro 1900 is well documented on census returns.....but not baptism dates........so i offer my findings from the Oxkbrook Parish Records..in the hope that some devious so and so might find useful links into the 20th century..for instance the siblings of Alfred will be somewhere on the 1911 Census..and whi knows..a Wheatley might pop up!! WILLIAM FEDERICK HUDSTON married JANE DOWMAN 06.06.1838 at Ockbrook....... They had probably three children CAROLINe born 18.07.1854 and WILLIAM 22.05.1862..who , for some reasom were both baptised (at Ockbrook) 24.02.1874...........This was a very common prectice. WIILIAM married Mary Hogg at Pckbrook 02.08.1879 Another of their children JAMES HUDSTON born 1846..... He married MARY ANN CARRINGTON from Northants 23.03.1870..one of the witnesses being Fanny Carrington..presumably her mother.... They had the following children:- Jeanette born 13.05.1872 Sabina born 11.05.1874..both baptised 06.09.1874 Arthur Peter baptised 08.07.1876 Baxter 20.03.1877 ALFRED 19.10.1879 Fanny Maria 25.12.1881 They had two other children who were baptised in adulthood..so God knows when they were born.... Jaens baptised 30.07.1893 Mary Ann baptised 07.10.1893... bear in mind that,unless specifically stated from about 1870 onwards.all Parish Records are for Baptisms not Births..in the same way.death records are for Burial. not Death......... EDIT 22.07//WILLIAM HUDSTON buried Ockbrook 05.04.1910 aged 94 and his wife Jane buried ockbrook 20.09.1899 aged 81 WILLIAM HUDSTON baptised (two days old) 11.03.1816 son of James and Mary nee Burken JANE DOWMAN baptised Ockbrook 10.01.1819 daughter of Thmas and Elizabeth... Phew!!! Derek.

	Florence Clara Townsend allegedly on Page 1003 April 1907...was born in Derby itself 1878 daughter of frederick and mary Ann..which makes her less likely i think............. Derek.

	Yes it's one of those Derek, where I just feel its the right couple ,I still havent found a match for Florence Townsend the other stray on the marriage records quoted, so unless John feels the urge to throw a bit of money at it and get the cert Ellen Wheatley it will be. Thanks for looking.

	Good morning.....Sylvia has contacted me on my own Derbyshire thread and asked me to help......... I have all the HUDSTON information but only up yo 1910!!.....Ockbrook Parish Records no less........ I have full details of the Hudston family.with baptisms and siblings etc. BUT I do not have a marriage for Alfred in 1907.nor a baptism for Frank . I have also done the Marriage record route for Shardlow April 1907..and both parties should surely appear on the same page??? I've done a lot of this to find female spouses and it usually works..but not in this case..........I'm fairly sure they did not have a church wedding because they would apear in my records...... I've seen the page numbers for the weddings of ELLEN in April 1907...and it appears very odd that one of them is 1003.... So it looks like i failed!.but if you want the earlier information I have it all. Good luck EDIT 12.45pm...........BUT I have just found Ellen Wheatley and Alfred Hudston living a couple of hundred yards apart in Ockbrook 1891.....too much of a co-incidence???? Derek.

	Lindsey I looked at that one ..... and on my version, blown up to 200% and 500% ............... it did look more like 1003 not 1063 so I was doubtful that it was Alfred's Ellen without more proof. although I must admit that looking at her registration record is also strange ............. it has 3 women and 1 man! 	Do you know if they had any other children?? If so, it is possible to look on freebmd for births after 1911 ..... mother's maiden name shows on records after mid-1911 That would give you a clue sylvia
