Sorry I don't know anymore about the Padfields. I believe they come form somerset. I don't know if Alice change her name or not. Sorry for not much info. I know 2 children was born before the couple got married Alice and Harold who died in 1899 when he swallow a penny.

Just checked earlier posts and Alice was born before the couples marriage and therefore this looks like her birth If she kept her name there is also a possible marriage. Do you have more detials of who the Padmore's were? Any first names/ages?

Thanks for that. I know that Frederick Durbin born 1872 was with his wife until she died in 1901. I can't seem to find any records after that. Alice who was born in 1897 was adopted by the Padfields but where do you start to look for that. Any help would be good.

Thanks for your help for finding the children at the workhouse in Clutton Union Workhouse. The spelling throw me. I still cna't seen to find the father Frederick Durbin born in Ubley Somerset in 1872. His wife died in 1901 she was Esther Salina Beynon. The only daughter I can't find is Alice Durbin who was born in Clutton in 1897. I not sure where to look now, I'm just hoping somebody can give me some ideas. Thanks for your help.
