	I have posted it just above the deaths that I posted for them ... I found it on freebmd http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl I see Ellen was living with her sister Hannah in 1911 or maybe she was just visiting as it says? jax

	No William and Rose did not have any children, looks like Rose died in 1935 jax

Member Since: October 2008 Posts: 10 Send Message	One can only guess, it looks like Rose was a bit older that William. Maybe they didn't have any children of their own. I am trying to contact the decendants of Rose to see if there were any stories passed down. In a letter I have from her original orphanage record it says that her dad stopped paying maintinence and left to be with his brothers wife. Seems like a bit of an odd story now we know her parents weren't married.

	Yes that could well have been the case If that is her in 1911 it does'nt look like she married him. Looks to me that Ellen married a John cotterall later on?? jax

Ellen jane Dunford of Linton Road Sussex lived remarkable close to a married man named william Ayling though I cant find a middle name for him. Cant find a marriage between an Ellen Dunford and a William Ayling either. Would it have been normal to have used the fathers surname on the birth certificate even if they werent married?
