You would need to send for one of the certs to prove which William Bishop has a father William on his birth cert..

I am saying that that 1881 Censu I put on is a possibility for your William.

Back in the 1880's a lot of people only gave their Christian names when they got married.And if William Bishop 1873 only knew his Father was William not John William then thats the name he would have gave to the registrar/Vicar.
