I have a Thomas Rain in the 1881 census in Whitehaven who is a widower I believe his wife was Julia Quayle could someone please check the 1871 census to confirm that for me and also look at the 1851 census for his family befor he married
Thomas was born in 1840 in West Aukland Durham and must have moved to Whitehaven Cumberland because that is where he married Julia if i am on the right track

Tree on Ancestry has above Thomas as marrying someone else. You might need his marriage cert to Julia I think.

I think i can rule out the Redmarshall families as Redmarshall is part of Stockton But i can not work out his parents between Thomas & Mary or Nicholas & Margaret both from Aukland I have been on F/S for Thomas & Julia's marriage hoping to identify his parents but had no luck
I will check out Mundia's trees to see if there is a matching tree
