Hi can anyone help im tying to find out about my grandfather mchael connors he joined up in on 18 th feb 1914 i have a reg no 4628 /5831 any advice on finding army reords i would b greatfull

WW1 Army records are on Ancestry, i have had a look with the details you have stated, the only thing i can find is his medal card.

In case you are not aware 70% of these records were destroyed in WW2, so it looks as though his were amongst those that were destroyed.

Just to confirm. it states on this record he marraied a Margaret on the 2 nd of October 1917, at the church of Assumption in Wexford.

will the medels tell me where he served and so forth.
