I am, still, looking for Joseph Firkins born at 1834 in West Bromwich Staffs, according to census. I have both his marriage certs that state that jeremiah firkins is his Father, but as I have found the rest of jeremiahs childrens christenings at the reg office in staffs, I am beginning to doubt that jeremiah was his natural father. I cannot find Joseph on the 1841 census, but neither can I find jeremiah they were boatmen, although I have found joseph on later census, so should I now call off the search for his birth |

There is a death for a Jeremiah Firkin in 1841 at West Brom Jan Feb March, I wonder if that was his father. |

I did find that, but Joseph called "my" Jeriahs children his brothers and sisters so I don't really know |

The Jeremiah I am looking for died in 1852, the reason, I thinks, they can't be found on the 1841 cesus is that they were boatmen working the birmingham/staffs canels |

Lynda you have to tell us a little more about your Joseph, Like who he married, when and where and his children for us to look further for you. We need to know names of wives please? |

Possibility for 1841, slightly older than expected though. Image very faint |

Jeremiah married Sarah Wagstaff according to someones tree on Ancestry. They have Joseph as their child but no other children listed. They also have Jerimiah's parents. |
