WW2 records are available only to the next of kin....at a cost of £30.00

Can you be more precise about his birth, please..............find the record on freebmd, and give us the details

How is he connected to you?

GlitterBaby

You MUST know more about him...........

Flick

Flick Report 8 Jun 2011 17:04

Right then..........who was his child who was your sister-in-law's parent?

Jacky

Jacky Report 8 Jun 2011 17:09

his fisrt child is still living female born 1933 then there is a long gap of 10 years befor he had a 2nd child paul ernest arthur 1944 (have put his name as he has sadly passed away ) then anothe male born 1946 i thought maybe he was in the army & maybe this is the reason for the long gap in the 1st & 2nd

Fact................

Births Mar 1944 (31%)

Broadbent Paul E A Watson Leeds 9b 385

If the first child was born in 1933, and you think Ernest was born in 1914, he'd only have been 18!

Flick

There isn't a marriage for Ernest Broadbent to a Watson..........apart from this

hi flick
yes this is right birth for paul
i agree he would have only been 18 really stumped now as you have found the deaths for ernest x 2 born earlier i can,t even get his marriage cert to confim age at time of marraige as we don,t know who he married as i can,t find a broadbent marrying a watson in the right time frame & right area ernest was a shop keeper & from whats been said he never left leeds

Does your s-i-l know who her grandmother was?

Can she find out the lady's first name?

Jacky

Jacky Report 8 Jun 2011 17:23

hi flick no she doesn,t have his birth cert but think we are going to have to send for it to confirm his mothers name
i did see the marriage you have found for ernest & marion worsnop & discounted that one as i could find a watson marrying a worsnop unless its a really bad spelling mistake & should be watson not worsnop

Jacky

Jacky Report 8 Jun 2011 17:28

hi flick
no she doesn,t know as there was a big fall out between her father & his father & they did,t speak after that & the mention of her grandad was taboo & she no longer has contact with her fathers siblings either my sis in law belongs to paul who passed away

am going to order the birth cert its only way are going to know for sure thank you
