Not sure which birth is hers so ill probably just have to take a punt but at least Ive found some more info on her, especially her parents

If you use freebmd, you will find several possible births for Florence. The registration district for Oldbury seems to be West Bromwich and there at least 3 that could be her!

Any ideas on birth certs for Florence or anyone with access to USA data?

I think we you definitely may be on to something with your suggestions PollyPoppet! The occupation of the father and birth location are good, obviously the birth year is slightly out but that could easily be explained. It is also interesting that Thomas is quite close the Florence and so may explain the confusion on the birth cert. Does anybody have access to USA records to perhaps find Thomas Birth location/cert as he states he was born in the USA!

Thanks for the 1911 census K. Im just struggling to get back and find Florences Parents really and due to the confusion on the marriage cert Im finding it hard to follow anything with any conviction. The info provided by Ann is possible but as I say Im just unsure of how I can be certain. If I could perhaps find the Greenway address in the 1901 census it may uncover some details (thats presuming Florence lives there at that point)

What was Georges age, fathers name and occupation please

Hi,
I am really struggling to find one of my ancestors, Florence Smith born c.1883-84. I have her Marriage Cert, dated 1904, married George Mason at St Andrews Church, Parish of St Andrews Birmingham.

This marriage states that Florence lives at 17 Greenway St and George lives at 15 Greenway Street but I cannot find either of these addresses in the 1901 census.

Another confusing aspect is that the the marriage cert states that Florences fathers name and occupation is Florence Smith, Brewer! I believe this must be a typo but it certainly does not help my search. If anyone could help me I would be eternally grateful!
