The one on Prince Edward Island on the 1911 census was born there.

Hello!

I now have their death certificates!
They must have emigrated to BC,Canada 1911/1912 according to the length of stay entry. But can't find them on 1911 British or Canadian censuses
Also they had a daughter called Nancy. I am not sure yet if she was also born in England.
There was a Margaret Nancy Herring born 1903 in Sunderland. That may be her.

Can somebody possibly find passenger lists for John & Kate (Catherine) to Canada?

Search goes on.............

How do you mean that ?

PricklyHolly

PricklyHolly Report 19 Jun 2011 16:23

It might benefit you now to include "Canada" in your title.

Cippy

Cippy Report 19 Jun 2011 16:18

Kate (Catherine, I suppose) was 10 years older than him, she died 1946 in Canada

Perhaps someone will be kind enough to check passengers lists for you.

As he does not appear in the 1911 census........it would be between 1903 and 1911.

Bon Voyage.............PH. ;-)

Birthplace has no bearing on death reg'n.

Have you looked for her in 1881? Or for her birth reg'n?

Of course, until you get the marriage cert, you don't even know if Legg was her maiden name......

Cippy

Cippy Report 19 Jun 2011 15:51

I have already, but difficult not knowing her birth date or birth place
