Find Ancestors

I have been researching the wrong name! Having received my Ancestor's wedding certificate I find that my Ancestor has a completely different name to the one I have researched!
The thing is, that now I have the correct name I find that it is not easy to find which one I should research. Please can someone help?
The name is Frederick Richard Brett with a Son Arthur Henry Brett. Frederick died sometime before 1928 and was an Explosives Factory Foreman according to the Cert'. I did find someone with the same name on a Census and doing similar work but I am afraid to assume that it is the correct one before I go ahead with ordering birth cert's etc. If anyone has time I really would appreciate help.

Thank you jax, Arthur Henry was born approximately 1883, he married for the second time in March 1928 in Dartford, I am afraid that is the only information I have that is bona fide.
