Beatrice Kathleen Report 29 Jun 2011 15:04

Am trying to trace any living relatives of Thomas H Taylor b1851 in the Rothwell/Leeds area of Leeds. His only daughter Jenny H Taylor was my grandmother. He married Sarah Jane Smith b1843 at Rothwell Parish Church in 1874. They had four sons, Fred Smith b1876, Eugene b1878, Claude b1880 and Rolfe b1892. I think Claude was killed in WW1 and Rolfe never married, but was in the navy.
Would appreciate any information regarding this family please.

Harry's bap ????
Harry Taylor
Birth Date: 26 Feb 1906
Parish: Hunslet, St Mary The Virgin
Baptism Date: 8 Apr 1906
Father's name: Fred Taylor - Fitter, so not sure how this would tie in with a Stoker in 1911.

Address 4 Baker Terrace.

Harry Taylor
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1906
Registration district: Hunslet
Inferred County: Yorkshire - West Riding

As there are at least 3 Harry Taylors born in Yorks, same reg Q, it is going to be difficult to sort out which ones married, and if they are 'yours'.

Try searching Trees for his name.

There is a tree on Ancestry with all of these people, but nothing past 1901 -
Tree name is Thornton / Revill, and tree owner, bridgetcooper2.

I don't think there is any direct connection to the family, more a case that the person has traced off in different directions from the main branch.

Hello Beatrice and welcome to the boards.

It may be worth your while putting the names you are researching into the Search Trees box above (in the dark green bar), along with approximate dates of birth. There seem to be other members on here who have the same people in their tree. You can contact the tree owner direct.

Regards. Cx
