According to the BRIDGE family tree on Ancestry the father of George Henry Watts born Colchester abt 1868 was William Watts b Colchester 1833 who married a Mary Ann Halls b 1833 also Colchester

William's father was Thomas Watts b 1807 Colchester who married a Maria Wilson also b Colchester 1812

No Grundys or Scottish connections it seems from that side of the family

I don't think any of us are seeing the connection to Mary Furser Grundy.........but if as you say, she was born in Scotland, she might also have married a Watts in Scotland in which case you will need the "ScotlandsPeople" site which is pay to view.

Then came to full stop

It might be easiest to start with your uncle's own birth certificate to see what his mother's maiden name is and then look for her marriage and work backwards from there.

If she was born in Scotland then I don't think registration began there until 1855.
