Sorry Lynski, I am late answering, but I wasn't able to stay up any longer.
Here's the dilemma then. I have all of the information I needed on Rachel. What I couldn't find was her father and mother's marriage. On Rachel's birth cert it states that her mothers name was Sarah (so far, so good) formerly Cook. So regarding Sarah Miles or Niles could it be that she was 'Cook' before. I shall have to get the marriage cert to make sure or will that information not be on it???

Bit more info...he may be under Cockram but my siblings assure me that Rachel (his daughter) was adamant that her name was Cockayne, although her marriage cert says Cockram. As I said, they couldn't write so who knows what they were depicted as?
