CAN ANYONE HELP ME? I AM TRYING TO FIND INFO ON LILY CROSS (NEE ASKEW) AND FAMILY. SHE MARRIED WILLIAM J CROSS IN MARCH 1921 AND THEY HAD A DAUGHTER EVELYN IN MAY 1921. IF ANYONE COULD FIND LILY ON THE CENSUS, I'D BE VERY GRATEFUL. I HAVE SEARCHED BUT COME TO A DEAD END. IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO HELP TRACE HER WHEREABOUTS AND HER DEATH PLEASE REPLY. I AM UNSURE IF WILLIAM DIED YOUNG AND SHE REMARRIED. I THINK THEIR DAUGHTER EVELYN WAS MY GRANDMOTHER AND SHE WAS RAISED BY AMY C AND JOHN KANE. FINALY, DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW FAR DERBYSHIRE IS FROM SLEAFORD. THERE ARE 2 SLEAFORDS BUT THE ONE I WANT IS IN LINCOLNSHIRE....SORRY TO SOUND SO DIM!!

Hi,
I found the marraige but couldnt find anything else. Ahh, so her surname was Askew and she became Cross which is why her daughter Evelyn is Cross. I should search for Lily cross then? I wonder if you do manage to trace a Lilly Cross who may have been born in Belper Darbyshire on any records of the censuses, would you let me know. She may have had a sister called Amy if that helps?
