I CANT EVEN FIND AMY CROSS ON THE CENSUS AND MY MOTHER AND THE ONLY OTHER SURVIVING RELATIVE, MY UNCLE DOES NOT KNOW WHETHER AMY KANE(NEE CROSS) HAD SIBLINGS AS THEY DO NOT REMEMBER ANY AUNTS OR UNCLES. MY UNCLE JOHN KANE SAID THAT HE THHINKS SHE HAD A SISTER EDNA BUT MY SEARCHING HAS COME TO NOTHING.

Why do you think she was born in Belper?

Hi,
I found the marraige but couldnt find anything else. Ahh, so her surname was Askew and she became Cross which is why her daughter Evelyn is Cross. I should search for Lily cross then? I wonder if you do manage to trace a Lilly Cross who may have been born in Belper Darbyshire on any records of the censuses, would you let me know. She may have had a sister called Amy if that helps?
