Sorry Shirley but it is such a shame that you have started this thread when you already have a thread on the same person with three pages of replies.

You keep saying that the Harold Frankland on the 1911 census is "your" Harold but he is definitely Harold Campbell Frankland as Campbell is his mother's maiden name. He was also born in late 1904 and not 1905. If he is "your" Harold then perhaps he lied about his birthday for some reason - perhaps when joining the RAF.

Can you tell us if there are two Shirleys posting on the boards from your account because sometimes you say he is your father and sometimes that he is your nan's father?

If you are certain that the person on the 1911 census in Preston is the person whose death you are looking for then you have already been given it on your other thread.

That is where the confusion comes from then as sometimes it seems it's your nan's dad you are looking for (which I think is correct) but when you type in what your nan wants to say it makes it sound as if it's "your" dad you are looking for.

That's why a couple of us got confused.

If you look at your other thread the death is on there for the Harold living in Preston in the 1911 census.

I've put a reply on that thread too.
