Thank You Robin

He did go to the US around 1854 as he was only about 12 yrs old when he was put on a boat by himself for the Journey.

I don't think they are him but thankyou for trying.
I hate Irish records or the lack of them that is.

The shipping lists for Canada dont start until 1865 on Ancestry

It might draw attention if you add Canada/NZ in your title as there are some very good researchers on here for those countries

Susan

Susan Report 7 Aug 2011 12:30

Hi Joan

I was told he went to the US on his own at the age of about 12 yrs .

The details I have been given are very scant I must admit.

He was born 1842 so I am guessing he would have arrived Canada around 1854.

I can't even find him leaving US to go to OZ then NZ he did marry Mary Brown in New Zealand in 1870 and had children .

Catherine
Melanie.
That is all I have sorry.

Thankyou for looking for me .
