I have been searching for the past few hours for a marriage, but I think I am looking so intently that I am doing it all wrong. Can someone please give me a few minutes...

Edith V Pinnick, born 1916 in Islington.

Her mother is recorded as a Pyers, but I cannot find a marriage for a Pinnick to a Pyers.

I think it is the "wood for the trees" syndrome.

Maybe her mum had been married before so the marriage wont be in her maiden name of Pyers.

You may need to get the birth cert for her mums full name

I've just looked at the FreeBMD scan and it's definitely under Pinnick. Pinney is the surname above so the transcriber must have got a bit confused.
