Has anyone found the birth registration of William F(o)ord? The nearest I can get is Henry William Ford registered in Salisbury 1857. There are other William Fords registered in Wiltshire but not in Salisbury. He may have not been registered, of course. |

The Mary Ann in the 1881 is the only likely candidate I can find who was registered in Maidstone. There are a couple of possibilities registered in Tunbridge Wells: Annie (Dec 1872) 2a 557 and Annie Elizabeth (June 1873) 2a 512 |

Missing on FMP but not on FreeBMD...unfortunately, it's not the 1893 Bethnal Green one. |

I would think tha maybe William was married prior to meeting Annie/ Caroline.... there's a good age gap between them. If he was married beforehand then maybe he changed his birth place as to almost start over again??? |

If it's the above family, the 1891 gives her name as Maryann. Two more children Annie (5yrs) Reginald (2yrs) both born Poplar |

The fuller entry for that marriage record shows a bride missing... unless William / Walter is the same chap ? |

Yet have not been able to come up with a marriage for them. I wonder too if she had been married before...on the other hand, the 1911 has her 14 years younger than William, so she would have had to get her skates on! Will continue looking |

i dont know for sure whether annie and william did marry just going by the census which they have put themselves down as being married. The 1901 census has annie down as caroline so i dont know if she used a different name. i have found out that they had 6 children and one of them being my great grandmother and her mother is down as annie and not caroline. |

There's a William Ford with wife Annie in 1911 and the places of birth agree with yours, Emma. Says they've been married 18 years |
