Just had a look for you. Alfred Press married Martha Buck 3rd October 1866 Pancras 1b 87 their son was Herbert Edward born March qtr. 1889 Pancras 1b 116. In 1891 the family lived 8 Bayham St. Panras Alfred was a Railway Porter age 49 Martha age 42 born Ellingham Norfolk. Alfred 15 a railway porter, William age 13 a shop boy, Ada age 10, Ernest 8, Maud 3, Herbert 2.
Alfred Press died Mar qtr. 1898 age 56 Pancras 1b 84 he was born Dec qtr. 1841 Pancras 1 308
In 1881 lived at 6 king Street South Pancras Alfred age 39 Carman (man with horse and cart) Martha 32, Emma 13, Martha 10, Alice 8, Alfred 5, William 3, Ada 4 months.
Martha Press nee Buck 1848-1911
Alfred was the son of James Gregory Press and Elizabeth Cordle married 26th March 1826, James cannot sign his name Elizabeth can sign. In 1841 the family lived in Drummond Crescent and James is a cow keeper, loads of children listed if you are interested by 1871 James is a milkman and died June qtr. 1872 age 70 Pancras 1b 69 He left a Will - James Gregory Press of 43 Drummond Crescent Euston Squ. died 20th May 1872 - Will Proved to Elizabeth Press widow Effects under £100

Charlotte, as there are a couple of possibles you really need Albert's birth cert to make sure you have correct parents.

hi how did you find the household info, i've tried freebmd and got no where. the 1889 is correct. but i've noticed on the list you given me on this thread there is no head ( father ) in the household. it says the mother was a window? is there a way i could find his fathers name? herberts dad.

That's often the case, but the names are reasonably unusual, so you might find them on census reports. I would recommend their marriage cert though to get fathers' names and occupation for herbert.
