@PricklyHolly

I can't for the life of me see how you got from finding this:

Marriages Sep 1918 (>99%)
Golding Martha Loney W.Derby 8b 1038
Loney Frederick W V A Golding W. Derby 8b 1038

Births Jun 1894 (>99%)
Loney Frederick Walter V W. Derby 8b 620

England & Wales, Death Index: 1916-2005
about Frederick W V A Loney
Name: Frederick W V A Loney
Birth Date: abt 1894
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1927
Age at Death: 33
Registration district: Birkenhead
Inferred County: Cheshire
Volume: 8a
Page: 502

To finding him mentioned on the 1911 Census.

Searching for him myself I can only find him on the 1901 Census at which point he was a patient of some kind at an institute I haven't yet found the name of.

I'm trying to understand the process... could I bother you to explain how you did it?

I will PM you David.

It does not state the name of the Institution on Ancestry for Frederick in 1901.........he is on page 5.
Going back to page 1, it names the Surgeons, Physicians etc so he was obviously in Hospital.
