Find Ancestors

My Great Grandmother's brother was Newman Seaton born 1834 Gawcott, Bucks. I have him on the 1841, 1851 censuses and in 1861 in West Bromwich, Staffs.
I cannot, however, find any trace of him after 1861 or his family. I cannot find a marriage for him, any birth registrations of his children or deaths for him and his wife.
With a name like Newman, I thought he would be easy to trace. Maybe someone else might think of something to help that I haven't thought of!

You have the correct Newman in 1841 and 1861. Thomas age 62 in 1861 was his father who I think died that same year.Where did they all go after 1861? Oldest sister Elizabeth married in Australia in 1854 so emmigration is a possibility but I haven't found anything to substantiate that.

I found the 1851 details, looks as tho they were all in cottages, maybe some sort of settlement whilst building a railroad?
Could William Bennett maybe be a very bad mistranscription of Newman Seaton?? The marriage would fit in with age of Thomas Seaton,5 in 1861. Will have to check 1861 for a William Bennett with wife Rowena.

It does look like they never married and the children werent his, They parted and maybe he emigrated too as theres no further record of him on the England/Wales records

Just seen your last posts, fully agree, especially as the ages of the 'Seaton' children on the 1861 match the ages of the 3 Bennett boys in 1871. Wonder where Newman went, then?
