... can't find a birth of a Lydia to match the daughter ...

one person here at genesreunited has Lydia Collins 1865 Cosely Staffordshire in their tree so maybe they could confirm or deny my wild guess about that one :-) .......... no we can rule that out she is with her parents in Cosely in 1871

so Lydia Collins is not the person in the 1871 census in Kensington

but there is no Lydia birth in Burton upon Trent 1863 to 1867 with a name that looks like 'Coller'

if you search trees here at genesreunited for

surname Stevenson
born in Ramsgate
1834 +/- 5 years

you will find that a number of people have Josephine/Rosina ( one person has her by both names ) and also sister Martha ( if you make it +/- 10 years there are also Albert and Augustus born earlier who may be brothers who died in infancy perhaps )


and just another wild guess ... I wonder whether Giovanni B? might have changed his name to an English one by 1881 ...
