Hello Kath.......sometimes purchasing marriage certificates is the only way...but there were no "Certificates" as such before 1837. It is possible to purchase copies of Marriage entries before 1837..but will only give you the Father's name..so you're no further forward.. |

Just a thought.....could it be that Sophia and Mary are the same person??? very frequently you get different names on different censuses..particularly if she was Sophia Mary..or Mary Sophia......as flick intimated i have considerable resources for Derbyshire.and nowhere can I find an alternative marriage for Charles............you may have notice on IGI that there are two entries for the same marraige 23.10.1824..and 23.10.1825...........anything is possible!!! |
