I suspected it from that 1841 Census, and the 1861 Census seems to prove it (I haven't yet found the 1851 Census) |

However, we still can't directly connect James with this family. I'd say he was definitely related. Considering his birth year and the year John & Maria married it's a possibility he may have been born before. There is no James Rogers' baptism though so it's very likely he was a Seymour. |

Because father John was married to Maria in Cheshunt doesn't mean he was born in Cheshunt.. Here are 3 that are possibilities: |

HI JEC, if you look at the work Ozi and Sylvia have done, it looks almost certain that it is your James in census 1841 I posted, living with his mother Maria Marlborough, previously Seymour, nee Rodgers, and stepfather and some sibs. |
