they seem to have had children up to 1937 and workhouses had closed by then. Unless he died in what used to be the Workhouse Infirmary which many later became the local NHS hospital when the NHS was formed in the 1940,s

So did they not come home because the family had gone ? I was a london evacuee but came home eventually in 1946.

THEIR MOTHER DIED IN 1940, THERE WERE FOUR OF THEM SENT TO WALES,TWO BOYS AND TWO GIRLS.THE GIRLS DID EVENTUALLY GO BACK, BUT THE BOYS STAYED HERE IN WALES., SO NOW YOU SEE WHY MY INFO IS VERY SCARCE,THEY WOULD NOT TALK ABOUT THE FAMILY AT ALL,DONT EVEN KNOW WHEN THE GIRLS WENT BACK

so looks like the parents were still in the london area then Her death record doesnt show her second name

he could have course been in the Forces in WW2. would still have been of age to join up I think
