Well, thank you everyone. Now I know the family tale about Jane Bunting is only partly true. Funnily enough, I spoke to a distant relative this week who told me that he had heard only recently (I think from a Kent relative) that Jane took the children to the US after her husband had died - so even that tale was not the whole truth either. |
