Hi all, please could someone look up a Jennie Wilson/Hope,in the 1907 american arrivals,I also have Jennie as in residence in 1920 at lake creek,Williamson,Illinois, and again in 1930 at Johnston City,Illinois.these are source citations from Ancestry, her birthdate is 24 july 1896 in Willesden,London.and her death date is 3 July 1955 Melrose Park,Cook,Illinois, her name I think was Hope, but looking at someones tree they have her down as Wilson, sounds a bit confusing I know, but if you could shed some light on this I would be a very happy person. |

Hi Terry, I'm not seeing an actual arrival for that year. The tree owner has taken that date from the 1920 census which asks the year they arrived in US. |

the tree on Ancestry is very confused as it has her down as Jennie Hope and father Robert Wilson. I would take it with a pinch of salt as the census returns in England do not relate to the people. They have just copied from another tree that is not actually the same family. |

RutlendBelle's quite right, I wouldn't trust the info on that tree. They also have a 1901 census for a Hope family that just couldn't be right. |

when you say she has put her birth down as Jennie Hope, who do you mean? The tree owner or Jennie herself. |

there is a Jennie Hope in 1901 in Willsedon that fits but she could not be the one in US unless she married a man with the same surname |

Belle and Marie, yes this is the right family. |

well Jennie would only have been 13/14 in 1907 so doubt she would have gone to US on her own and her father stays is England |

Some of the children's names on the 1911 census match 1901 but some don't. Could Jessie in 1901 be Lena in 1911? |
