I wonder if there was a Samuel born to James and Susan Lambert Reddington between 1871 and 1875 with James registered as a costermonger, or is that a tad too hopeful? |

My great grandparents were the James and Ada Fordham registered in 1900 although I had them marrying before that-weird. From the certificate we know that James' father was also a James George and that that James was old enough to be the one born in 1875. |

So why didn't you add to your previous thread, Janice? There's a lot more info there. You left us in the dark on this one and didn't return to answer questions. |

Perhaps the 7 month old son on the 1871 census died and Susan named another son James (there is this death):- |

I have a feeling that the James and Susan in the 1871 census with baby son James were probably NOT married. I can't find a record of the marriage on Findmypast. |

I think this is the James that married in December 1871 (in the 1881 census):- |

I can't find a James Reddington married to a Susan anywhere. Where have you found them? |

These are the only two marriages on Findmypast for a James G. Reddington:- |
