I am a newcomer to Genes (only joined a couple of days ago) - still finding my way around and finding it a bit complicated - so I hope I am doing this right !

I have only just found all of these replies.

The information is invaluable and now means I can proceed further. If I had my mother's full birth Certificate then it would have been so much easier. All I had to go on was the very small 'certificate of registry of birth' - which only gave her d.o.b.

I had also tried finding my grandmother's name via both marriage and census records - without much success.

Does Charles d.cert or your mum's m.cert list his occupation?

I think you need to get your mum's b.cert to ascertain her parent's:

NB I read his 1911 p.o.b as Fulham

Charles Henry's probate listing shows his address as 2 Tollesbury Gardens, Ilford , Essex.

One would suspect that the other named Charles Henry was his son. do you think?
