Find Ancestors

Can anyone help me, I have been searching and searching with very little success.

My grandfather was James William Lines 1912-1977 and his father was William George Lines b.1874. I have found Willaim's marriage to his first wife (my great grandmother); Annie Elizabeth Bradberry 1875-1918 but have been unable to find details of his second marriage - we believe it was very soon after the death of Annie, one or two years later. The area is likely to be Islington, London as it appears that the majority of the family didn't wander too far.

Any help / pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Why do you think he married a second time ?

It was something our grandfather often spoke about - he must have mentioned at some time her name ... but I just can't recall what it was

GlitterBaby - I'm not sure if that is his probate record - the William Albert Rennison doesn't ring any bells at all - although, I do remember my grandmother and mother talking about visiting him in a bungalow (maybe a coincidence)

Choccy - yes, this address is definately one he lived in and I know that there weren't any children in the family named Emily - maybe this is it. I just need to try and locate a marriage record

The details you found for 1911 are absolutely correct and are my grandfathers family - he wasn't born until the following year which is why he doesn't appear

I'm guessing for a name to appear on the electoral roll then the individual had to be of voting age and in 1921 which would lead to Emily being a fairly good guesstimate and my grandfather wouldn't appear as he would only have been 9 years of age

In 1932 my grandfather was actually lodging in my grandmothers parents home which would be why he wouldn't appear on that electoral roll
