Find Ancestors

Hi, I really hope someone can give me some tips please. My husband is related to Amy Johnson and I am trying to close the links in the family tree (which I haven't started on line yet).

Amy is his Great, great, great cousin (Cousin of his great grandmother). I have tried starting from Amy Johnson by finding her parents and working back. I have also tried from the great grandmother but the trouble is the surname is so common there are so many I don't want to go down the wrong route. ANY IDEAS PLEASE.

If there really is a link then the correct way to trace it will be via your husband's ancestry about which hopefully more is initially known.

If the above is indeed your husband's great grandmother then you need to trace her ancestry on her father's side back until you discover which of his ancestors are related to John William Johnson (Amy Johnson's father).
