My replies are only about Priscilla but I just posted all the other births to show you Patricia wasn't one of them

My apologies Jax. The family has always referred to her as Patricia so I tend to forget that it is Pricilla.
I already knew the names of her siblings, including the ones that passed at birth or shortly after.
I believe my inquiry was about Priscilla only, not the whole family. I am new to posting threads and am learning as I go. What I have learned is that I should also briefly post what I have as well as what I want.

There is NO Patricia....her name was Priscilla and I have given you all the info on her birth marriage and death


I have also listed all 8 children and the 3 deaths leaving the 5 you knew about but one of the names were wrong Patricia really being Priscilla

Am I correct in that you got this information from the Beechwood Cemetery? If so, I gave them the information myself and still they get it wrong.

Thank you for the information. Walter McGerray was my father and his middle name was Henry. His father's name was John Thomas McGerray.

Of the five children, 2 immigrated to Canada, the rest remained in England. I am in contact with a cousin from both John and Frederick's line. Ruby I have no contact and very little information on, the same with Patricia.

There aren't may marriages or deaths for McGerray. Did many of them emigrate?

If you think there was a Patricia.....................look for a birth registration for the name

And explain who Priscilla was.....about whom you have made no mention

Reggie, I do have the right forename, Patricia was my aunt. She had a sister Ruby, brothers Frederick, John and Walter (my father). I am also in touch with two of my father's brother's families, one of which has also done work on the family tree, with Patricia being the elusive of them all. Suffice to say we were told they were all sent to an orphange after my grandmother died, which we know question. Very little contact was made between them after that.

Jax, thank you. I will research this further and maybe you have lead me to other family members.

I have made contact with someone who is indirectly related to the family.

I do realize that last names can be spelled incorrectly and I have seen a number of different spellings and heard it pronounced many different ways.

Where did you get the name Patricia?

Have you looked at freebmd to try to verify?

It would appear that you have the wrong forename.....................as per both threads

I have been away from researching my family tree for a number of years. Even when I was doing it I was a newbie with little patience. I am just starting to get back into it and hopefully do it right. PricklyHolly said that I should delete one thread and just go with the one requesting information on McGerray. And I do see her point. It's just that Patricia was my aunt and disappeared. Finding information on her after she left the orphanage is difficult. Her other siblings are all accounted for, one of them being my father. Thanks.
