Find Ancestors

Hi hoping that some one can help me please.Iam trying to find the parents and siblings if any of Francis Mcnulty born 1816 in Carrickfergus County Antrim Northern Ireland . he married some one called Mary in 1849 Barnsley South Yorkshire . Francis died in 1880 Sheffield His occupation was bricklayers labourer . I have found Francis children but can not find any siblings for him. I did find Some one called Edward Mcnulty on Ancestry but not sure if it is Francis father so I have now come to a brick wall ,hoping some one could please help thank you

Slight stretch on name transcription but this could be another child, linking them to Chorlton before going to Sheffield?

Was just wondering if I should get Francis born 1850birth certificate and hope it as his mum and dads name on it

Francis born 1850s cert will have mother's maiden name on but we already know that's Davis.

Francis senior is not showing up in baptisms in Ireland but that is quite early ( way before civil registration of births) and hard to find, especially as the 'Carrick' given as POB might be one of several. So the marriage cert is your best bet I think. It may have other family members as witnesses that you can trace.

There is also this but not certain whether the Davison is correct as births all give it as Davis

Hi Rambling thank you for helping me the other day.As promised I have got wedding certificate back . It says Francis Mcnulty married Mary Davis.They married In 1844 Chorlton. Francis was full age and Mary looks like minor . he was a widower and she was a spinster.Francis was a labourer They were both living at the same address before marriage looks like no 2 Midlock street but can not work out the last word might start with H . Francis father was called Francis all so.he was a labourer . Marys father was called William Davis also a labourer . Witness was Thomas ? and Bridget looks like Cavannah . thanks Janette
